i'm actually quite happy with this one. it's fanart from Garth Nix's novel, Sabriel. this is supposed to be the scene just after the crash of the paperwing in which Sabriel had to remove Mogget's collar. (oh no!! ) This is when Mogget is about to savor his revenge on the Abhorsen by torturing her to death! MWAHAHAHAHA!! *ahem*
i would like to point out that i changed Sabriel's costume and appearance on purpose. i wanted to interpret the character in my own way and avoid simply copying the cover artwork! i tried to keep her clothing similar to the book description though. notice, for example, that the ring is on the INDEX FINGER of her LEFT hand *ahem*. however, i decided to put the key symbol on the armband rather than drawing it fifty billion times all over the fabric (very hard to do with colored pencil )
as for Mogget, i certainly used the book description as a reference, but drew him as i imagined him to be without sticking to every detail described.
